Paul Mescal looks unrecognisable in Gucci outfit at London Fashion Awards

Paul Mescal is probably more comfortable in a pair of O'Neills GAA shorts but he went all out in the style stakes by donning a gold Gucci suit for the London Fashion Awards.

The Kildare man was turning more than a few heads as he appeared on the red carpet at  London's Royal Albert Hall.

The Normal People star looked the part as he rubbed shoulders with a number of  international stars who turned up including Kris Jenner, Lily Allen, and host Billy Porter.

The London Fashion Awards celebrate achievements in fashion and those who always step out in eye-catching style.

And the former GAA player took the chance to push the style envelope out.

He turned up decked out in Gucci including a dazzling lemon yellow satin blazer impressively detailed with intricate embroidery.

He matched the statement jacket with a yellow shirt and accessorised with a black tie and simple black trousers.

However, eagle eyed fashionistas will have picked up the other statement piece on his wrist.

It didn't go unnoticed he was wearing a 2021 Cloche de Cartier -only 100 editions of the rare timepieces were ever made.

Paul was spotted mingling with his fellow stars at the Tommy Hilfiger after party, many had a lot to celebrate after picking up awards of the night.

Tommy Hilfiger took home with the Outstanding Achievement Award, while Gucci's Creative Director Alessandro Michele won the Trailblazer Award for his work to establish Gucci as one of the most culturally significant brands in entertainment.

Paul recently went public with his love life by stepping out with girlfriend Phoebe Bridgers.

It has long been rumoured that the couple were an item but they officially broke cover on Saturday for a red carpet appearance in LA.

Bookies are shortening the odds on the pair getting engaged this Christmas.

Paul and Phoebe are understood to have become friends through Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

The couple also worked together on a music video of Phoebe’s, ‘Saviour Complex’ but Phoebe reportedly made the first move by following Paul on Instagram.
